Description:

The Mokena Environmental Learning Center is a indoor meeting center set  in the the 1,800-acre Hickory Creek Preserve.  The building sits a wooded area, near a pond and walking path, and provides an ideal setting for spiritual workshops and particularly earth medicine workshops. It is located within easy access of I-80 and is just off Wolf Road. Parking is not a problem, camping may be available please inquire with learning center for permit information.

The building is heated and air conditioned, and has a standard/handicapped accessible bathroom.  It sits next to a large pond with walking path.

Located on Briarwood Lane in Mokena, north of Route 30 and east of Wolf Road.

From I-80: Take La Grange Road Exit South, at the first light you come to 191st St. make a right/go west, proceed to Wolf Rd, Turn Left/go south on Wolf road, Proceed to Cleveland approximately two mile, Left/East on Cleveland, then south on Briarwood Lane (turn just after Dead End Sign and Mokena Environmental Learning Center Sign.) The entrance is at the end of Briarwood Lane.
 

From Wolf Road: Turn east on Cleveland Avenue, then south on Briarwood Lane. The entrance is at the end of Briarwood Lane.

Once you enter the forest preserve you will have to drive a bit through the forest preserve to get to the Learning Center, you will know the building when you see it.
